What is the library for?
The main purpose of the HCCS libraries is to support and promote student learning.
In order to achieve this goal, the libraries provide:
- Friendly, qualified librarians and library staff
- Comfortable facilities for student learning and interaction
- Up-to-date technology to meet student and faculty needs
- Adequate, well-organized collections of books, periodicals, videotapes, and electronic materials
- Access to Internet resources
- Remote access to library services and resources
- Access to the resources and services of other libraries
- Personal assistance with library resources for students and faculty
- Individual and group instruction in library use and research methods
