Since the inception of the WWW educational institutions, committed faculty, and even corporations have been providing open access to a wide variety of resources and collections. More recently the Open Educational Resources movement has gone mainstream. HCC Librarians are dedicating some of their time to curating high-quality open resources that can support the HCC curriculum.
On these pages you will find a LibGuide dedicated to the history and pedagogy of the OER movement, a LibGuide dedicated to the use and adaption of OERs to course needs, a list of open access databases to supplement resources licensed by the HCC libraries, and lists of individual OER and open access resources organized by program.
The separately listed Biology, Chemistry, and Physics tabs provide links to resources curated by HCC STEM faculty as part of the QEP INSPIRE project.
Finally, please pardon our dust. We are building these lists out as quickly as we can.
