No Contact Service

No Contact Requests, Pickups and Returns

The HCC Libraries are now offering pickup and drop-off services at the time and locations listed in the box to the right. Books, devices, DVDs, and other circulating items can be requested via the HCC Library Catalog anytime you see the Place Request button. Just follow the steps below.

Place a Hold Request

1. Place a hold request for the items you want to check out

  1. Using the HCC Library Catalog, place a hold on the item(s) you want to pick up and check out.
  2. How to Request Books (and other items).
  3. You must be currently enrolled to place a hold request.
  4. Your library record must be clear of overdues in order to place a hold request.
  5. Materials cannot be transferred between libraries. For example, if you request an item from the Northline Library collection you must pick it up at the Northline Campus.
  6. Use this form if you have trouble logging in to your library account to place your request.
  7. Hold requests will expire 7 days following notification. Materials will be returned to the collection at that time.
  8. Login to your HCC LIbrary account to view or cancel your hold requests or to renew your checked out items.

2. Pick up your materials

  1. Watch your HCC email! You will be notified when the material is ready.
  2. Your email will include information on the COVID pre-screening process.
  3. When you arrive on campus tell the screener that you are here to pickup library materials.You may also call the numbers listed here.
  4. All materials will have been quarantined, handled with clean gloves, and bagged for your safety.
  5. Please do not come to campus to pick up your materials until we have notified you that they are ready.

Return Your Items

3. Return your checked-out items

  1. Materials can be returned to any of the campuses listed to the right.
  2. When you arrive on campus tell the screener that you are here to return library materials.You may also call the numbers listed here.
  3. Returned items will be quarantined for 7 days prior to check-in. Please let Library staff know if you need to have the material checked in sooner in order to clear your student record.
