Is Eagle Library Search a Library One-Stop Search Box?

There are some important differences between the Google search and the Eagle Library Search (ELS) on the HCC Libraries website.

  • Limited resources searched: Not as broad as Google. (This can be a good thing.)
  • Eagle Library Search searches the majority of the library's physical and electronic resources simultaneously along with additional sources such as Research Guides, Library information, HCC program information, and scholarly open access resources.
  • Eagle Library Search doesn't search all library resources!

Eagle Library Search is primarily a discovery tool. That means its main purpose is to help you discover where to search on the HCC Libraries website for what you need.
