Introduction

The mission of the Drafting and Design Engineering Technology Program is to provide the most current technical training in Architectural or Engineering Design Drafting disciplines.
You'll learn how to: 
  • Produce technical drawings using geometric construction techniques.
  • Apply dimensional concepts, in accordance with industry standards, in the production of technical drawings that are of the appropriate scale and proportion.
  • Identify, analyze, and categorize complex twodimensional models and three-dimensional models in the planning of a drawing solution. Utilize computer-aided design software in the production of civil, electrical, mechanical, or architectural drawings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of design industry standards in the production of civil, electrical, mechanical, or architectural drawings.
