3D Printing in HCC Libraries: 3D Print Files: Creating & Submitting Requests (ENGR)

• Visit Tinkercad 
• Name the file: Lastname_Firstname_ENGRXXXX
• * Build Volume Limitation: 10.0 L x 10.0 W x 12.5 H cm [3.9 L x 3.9 W x 4.9 H in]
• Design 
• Check for scale, build volume limitations*, and model integrity.
• Export in .STL format 
• Import the .STL file into a slicing program & verify scale, boundaries, and integrity.
  • MakerBot - Installed on all desktop computers in Fraga #306
  • Cura - If you are using the Ultimamaker 3 at the Eastside Library or X Lab

• Export File Name - Lastname_Firstname_ENGRXXXX
• Email the STL file as an attachment to Rumela Bose (Central Campus Library)
• Exercise patience
• Pick Up - You will be notified via reply email when the print is complete and ready for pickup. Hours for the the Fraga location are at the bottom of the page.
