America’s largest and nationally recognized as Feeding America’s Food Bank of the Year in 2015, the Food Bank distributes 122 million nutritious meals through its network of 1,500 community partners in southeast Texas, feeding 800,000 individuals each year."

"We operate Loaves & Fishes, a large soup kitchen in downtown Houston where 200 to 300 of Houston’s chronically hungry gather six days a week for nutritious, hot, home-cooked lunches cooked by our staff and served by volunteers. There is no cost and no requirement."
