The SEC's EDGAR database provides free public access to corporate information, allowing you to quickly research a company's financial information and operations by reviewing registration statements, prospectuses and periodic reports filed on Forms 10-K and 10-Q. You also can find information about recent corporate events reported on Form 8-K but that a company does not have to disclose to investors.
One of the best ways to find company information is to use Google or another search engine and search the name of the company and the term "annual report".
A search for "company annual reports" provides links to company websites. A search for a specific company annual report, such as General Motors, brings up links to the company website page with links to the most current annual report and other information.
Usually we suggest that you look in library resources first, but most large public companies provide their annual reports online.
