Library/LRC Support Services supports the mission and values of HCC and of the HCC libraries by providing a suite of centralized and essential support services to the HCC libraries and to the global HCC community. Library/LRC Support Services:
- Manages efficient and accurate acquisition, cataloging, processing, and delivery of physical library resources.
- Complies with national standards and best local practices to enhance and organize access to relevant learning resources whether they are owned or licensed by HCC, are provided according to cooperative agreements, or are freely available.
- Trains library staff and others in the use and maintenance of library systems and databases.
- Maintains and reports statistical and usage data at the institution, State, and national levels.
- Cooperates with HCC partners to strengthen the capacity of the HCC libraries to serve students wherever they are.
- Maintains updated and intuitive access to library management modules and to learning resources via the Library's websites and other automated systems.
