A licensed Vocational Nurse is a team member of the health care delivery system in health promotion, disease prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
The Vocational Nursing curriculum prepares the graduate to perform specific nursing duties under the direction of physicians, dentists and registered nurses. Responsibilities include direct patient care in acute-care settings, community health agencies, long term care facilities and other health care institutions. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-PN Examination to become Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)
