Film & History has been in publication for over fifty years. Published by Center for the Study of Film and History. This journal considers motion pictures under the following rubrics: Films which interpret history, Films which reflect history, and Films made to influence history.

Writing from a new generation of film historians, theorists, and critics representing many different disciplines, cultures, and critical perspectives.

Aims not to be just a scholarly journal, but a new breed of film magazine, mixing established academic film scholars (and other scholars) with renowned film journalists, trying to reach a wider circle of readers.

The Journal of Film and Video, an internationally respected forum, focuses on scholarship in the fields of film and video production, history, theory, criticism, and aesthetics. Article features include film and related media, problems of education in these fields, and the function of film and video in society. The Journal does not ascribe to any specific method but expects articles to shed light on the views and teaching of the production and study of film and video.

Publishes articles about independent, experimental, and avant-garde cinema, video, and film works using digital technologies.

Science Fiction Film and Television is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal published by Liverpool University Press. Edited by Mark Bould (UWE) and Sherryl Vint (Brock University), with an international board of advisory editors, it encourages dialogue among the scholarly and intellectual communities of film studies, sf studies and television studies.

Provides information about the history, theory, criticism and practice of documentary film.

Film History focuses on the historical development of the motion picture and the social, technological, and economic context in which this has occurred. Its areas of interest range from the technical and entrepreneurial innovations of the early and pre-cinema experiments, through all aspects of the production, distribution, exhibition, and reception of commercial and non-commercial motion pictures.
