You will not have to log in to use ELS either on or off-campus.
When off-campus you will need to log in when you select to view or download a resource licensed for use by HCC students, faculty, and staff only.
That's right -- lots of scholarly, open access resources are included in the Eagle Library Search and you will never have to log in to use them.
You will see the screen below when you attempt to access a link from your search result when off-campus:
Following the instructions on the screen, you will log in with your HCC ID and the same password you use to access your HCC email, student account, and computers. Be sure to read the instructions if you get repeated error message. You may also use the link to get help logging in.
These links take you to your Library Account login. You may use this account to renew materials that you have checked out, request that items be held for pickup, and a few other tasks.
You will see the screen below when you attempt log in to your HCC Library account.
Following the instructions on the screen, you will log in with your first name and last name, leaving a space between. Your password will be your library barcode # from your student ID card.
