This library research guide has been created especially for your EDUC 1300 class and the career exploration assignments that you are currently working on. On this page you'll find links to several types of career information - books, videos, government publications online, and the library's subscription collections of career and vocational resources.
A major goal of this session today is to let you know that the libraries contain many valuable resource that cannot always be found on free Internet sites. These include current scholarly books, research journal articles that cite their sources, online subscription databases of books, magazines, and journals, and copies of some course textbooks.
Just follow the yellow links above to visit all areas of this guide.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR OFF-CAMPUS USE -
The library subscription databases require you to login with your HCC student W# and password in order to access them from off-campus.
If you are accessing your library account in order to renew checked-out items, or monitor the status of item requests from off-campus, you will be asked to login with your name and library barcode#. This number begins with "275..." and may be found on your HCC photo ID and in your online student account under the "Demographic Data" link. You can read more about this here.
