Many organizations make their data available, but you have to find it first. Some of the links below will help you search for data while others are organizations making their data available.
The U.S. government makes its data available on many different websites. Data.gov is a collection of data from many different government agencies and is a good place to start.
The Texas state government as well as other communities make their data available through various websites. Some state and federal data can be narrowed down to the county and city level.
The state makes much of its data available through the Texas Open Data Portal as well as other government agency websites.
Focal point for the distribution of Census information for Texas. The TDC is housed under the Institute of Demographic and Socioeconomic Research (IDSER), within The University of Texas at San Antonio. IDSER conducts multidisciplinary research on demographic changes, focusing on migration, population, and urban/rural issues. The team undertakes grant-supported studies in population, transportation, education, health, housing, and social services.
