Recording Studios
The West Houston Institute Learning Commons is home to two recording spaces available to our HCC Community. For booking either of these spaces, please reach out to the Learning Commons Staff or Librarian.
The One Button Studio is a video recording studio designed to facilitate a seamless video recording experience with no technical knowledge required. Through use of a USB (flash) drive which turns on the system (lights, microphone, and camera), and the use of a singular (ONE) button for starting/stopping, our students/staff/faculty can take advantage of green screen recording technology to capture an MP4 video onto the USB drive.
The Podcasting Studio is hosted within the same room as the One Button Studio with a PC and 2 Microphones for the purpose of audio recording. Through use of the programs such as Audacity and Adobe Premier, students, staff, and faculty can record, edit, and save their audio recordings.
