Comic Books and Graphic Novels

HCC Libraries are committed to building an inclusive, varied collection of comic books and graphic novels. Some of the creators we would love to include in our collection haven't published books in the traditional sense. Many writers and illustrators of diverse backgrounds have left traditional publishing and chosen to self-publish or digitally publish their work. Below you will find a short list of diverse comics creators who are creating engaging, contemporary comics and graphic novels. We encourage you to read and support their work, especially since some of them are available for free!
