Rapid Readers' Advisory: Books for English Language Learners (ELLs)

This LibGuide helps librarians and library patrons quickly connect with popular and relevant books and eBooks by genre, theme, medium, or language.

For the purposes of navigating this LibGuide page, books labeled Beginner are titles typically recommended for English-speaking 11 year olds (5th Grade/Elementary) and below; and books labeled Intermediate are those titles recommended for English-speaking 12 year olds (6th Grade/Middle School) and above.

Searching the collections

Eastside and Northline Campus Libraries have print ESL collections for students to browse. Patrons can use the Basic search function in the library Catalog to search for "rapid reads" to locate a list of quick-paced book titles written specifically for adult English Language Learners.
