2.1. For small lists, by scanning their barcodes, combining each line with an OR
2.2. For large lists, by a set of search criteria
3. Inform the other libraries via listserv that the list(s) of items will be withdrawn unless there is interest from another library. The email should:
3.1. Name the list #
3.2. Define the scope of the withdrawals
3.3. Provide a spreadsheet of the items with titles, call numbers, and author (if possible), and provide a deadline for notification (~1 week)
4. If there is interest, owning library should:
4.1. Notify Klairon Tang, CCing LSS Library Director
4.2. Send the item(s) to Klairon via delivery
4.3. Remove the items sent from the created list in Sierra
5. If there is no interest by the deadline, the items in that list are ready for withdrawal
5.1. Notify Mira Washington of the list to be withdrawn, CCing LSS Library Director
5.2. Mira will notify when the items are updated in Sierra
6. Once notification is received that the items are withdrawn, the local library is ready to finalize processing of items:
6.1. Stamp the item with ‘Withdrawn’ over any HCC-identifying mark
6.2. Mark-through the library barcode with a permanent marker, or remove the barcode if possible
6.3. Remove the Call number label, if possible
6.4. Box the items
6.4.1. Label the boxes sequentially (1, 2, 3…)
6.4.2. Write the total number of items on the outside of the box
6.5.1. Attach the text list of items to the e-form transfer request
6.5.2. Use “Worstell Auction Company” as the “To” field in Move Location Information
6.5.3. Save the e-form to PDF before submitting
6.6. Once the e-form has been submitted, send the PDF via email to Cory Lemons, CCing the location’s library director, letting them know of the transfer and requesting a move
