The library instruction session provided by Molly Bullard was incredibly valuable for my students. They gained hands-on experience with library resources, and the in-depth guidance on citation formats (MLA and APA) was especially helpful as they prepare for their upcoming assignments. The session was engaging, well-structured, and tailored to our course needs, and I’m confident the students will apply what they learned to their work. I’m grateful for the time and expertise that Molly Bullard brought to our class, and I know this will have a lasting impact on their academic success.

Every semester I definitely find the time to get my student acclimated to our media specialists. They need to know you and your constituents. It will make a difference in their college experience. You did a profound and awesome job. [Poster specifically recognized Raquel Donahue]

By providing my students with highly customized instruction in using the library’s resources to perform research and complete their writing assignments. Ms. Wigle also lets students know about all the library’s offerings beyond that. Her preparation for my students’ session was directly relevant and effective. A session like this should be conducted as early in the semester as possible, especially with first-semester students.

Thank you so much for your valuable assistance. I appreciate the work libraries do. You are one of the under-acknowledged heroes of student success.

The staff at the library is exceptional. They are always pleasant, enthusiastic and eager to hunt down any information you request whether it is by email or in person. The Library Orientation sessions are exceptional. Each time I teach ENGL 1302 I bring my class to the library for an entire class session so everyone can learn how to gather information for their research paper. Some students are empowered by discovering how they can find any information they need through the HCC Library databases, and they are the library staff are "hands-on" in showing/assisting them in navigating the HCC library online.

Through library orientations HCC librarians have instructed my students on how to use the HCC library for research and for pleasure reading. They have demonstrated how to search databases, look for peer reviewed material and perform career searches. They have provided easily accessed reference material on how to cite using APA, MLA and other kinds of protocol.
