Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone and internet. Eligible customers will get up to $9.25 toward their bill. You can only use Lifeline for either phone or internet, but not both.

The Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) is a utility assistance program. CEAP is designed to assist low income households in meeting their immediate energy needs and to encourage consumers to control energy costs for years to come through energy education.

There are thousands of financial assistance programs that may help struggling families. There is everything from mortgage or debt help to free groceries, grants to help pay rent or utility bills and medical bill assistance or free healthcare as well.
