On Wednesday, 10/15/2025, when the library switches to a new authentication method, your personal eBook Central account login will change and the contents (information about checked-out ebooks, notes, etc.) will NOT automatically transfer. Before 10/15, you can follow the instructions here to download information about your checked-out ebooks to help you locate them after 10/15 in order to check them out again.
You can merge your old account with your new one in order to preserve saved items by following the instructions in this ProQuest FAQ on merging bookshelf accounts. Please email jennifer.stidham@hccs.edu and provide your previous and current Ebook Central usernames as noted in the FAQ and we can submit a case on your behalf.

If you can't find the book you need at HCC's library, you can borrow books from other Texas libraries through TexShare. The books will be delivered to HCC for pick-up at the Circulation Desk. Most books arrive within 5-7 days. You will be notified by your HCC e-mail when your books have arrived.
