The Program Student Learning Outcomes (PSLOs) were originally adopted by the HCC Libraries in 2014 and revised in 2020. They guide the Libraries' efforts to promote student development and success through outreach and instruction, and provide common standards by which we can measure our own success.
- Students will be able to identify the elements of plagiarism and use information in an ethical and legal manner.
- Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the research process and use it to develop and support a thesis statement.
- Students will be able to identify, select, and access resources relevant to an information need using the HCC Library Catalog and subscription databases.
- Students will be able to evaluate all information sources in terms of strengths, weaknesses, credibility, and appropriateness to student need
