Know Your Limits
Databases have many options that can help refine your search. These options may be called either limiters or facets.
- Most database searches can be limited by these variables. You will usually find them listed in a column next to your search results.
- Publication Year
- Language
- Source/Document Type
- Publication Type
- Format
- Eagle Library Search may also be limited by database, subject, and many more options.
- Limiters can be built into your search by using the Advanced Search option dropdowns (1) or by adding them to your initial search string(2).
